the games we play

my first real taste of the east coast and boy was it interesting!  1 cancelled flight, over 24 hours of layovers, misplaced luggage, and of course seeing my awesome friends!

so i haven’t done the whole single at a club scene in a while, so it was quite interesting to observe the ways of how men try to pick up women, or vice versa.  there are things that men ought not to do when attempting to pick up females:

1. give the girl your business card and ask them ten minutes later if they threw it away.. and when they say no force them to show you the business card (creepy)

2. tell the girl she is “interesting” (i actually hear this quite often)

3. tell the girl you love her (although it was quite funny)

4. tell the girl you know she is the the type of girl you’d date.. after shaking hands (if by dating you mean something else?)

5. continuously follow her when she is hiding from you (or running away)

6. tell the girl you bought her a drink and give her your half-drunk drink (real classy here)

7. tell the girl you “think she’s had enough” (def not a winner, you are not her dad)

8. call the girl repeatedly at 3, 4 and 5 am.. (no no no you weirdo)

9. text the girl every hour the next day (i do not remember giving my number to anyone.. why does this random person have it??)

10. put your hands up the girls shirt upon first dancing (ugh!!)

now, there are other things that men should not do, but i think these 10 really are some of the worst i experienced during my trip.  now of course there were good things too, but my goodness, is this really what it’s going to be like??

on a side note, i was victim to a real good wing-woman.  she was so smooth i had no idea what was going on!  i will use her strategy for my friends in the future.. hopefully i can be smooth, im always a bit too awkward.

i guess i need some advice too on what to do as well, considering i probably make the list of the top ten things of what a girl should not do when flirting with a guy, but i suppose ignorance is bliss after all!

needless to say, despite having no clothes and the freezing weather, east coast was fantastic!
